Wilf Marley
QSM – CA, FCIS, CMA, ANZIM, Director

Wilf is a founding partner of Marley Loft Ltd and is committed to helping a wide range of owner operated businesses to get the most out of their businesses through tax effective structuring, trusts and business advisory services.

Over the years he has helped businesses with growth strategies and guided clients through business acquisition and disposal processes including due diligence and preparation for sale; succession planning and transfer of businesses to the next generation; and significant feasibility and financing proposals.

His technical skill, common sense approach and mediatory style has been very successful with the IRD on behalf of clients with some big “wins” in the areas of income tax and GST.

In 2005, Wilf was awarded a Queens Service Medal for his many years of voluntary community services.  He was a founding trustee of North Shore Hospice in 1988 and is still a current trustee as well as Chairman of the National body, Hospice New Zealand.

Carl Sowter
CA, Director

Carl started at Marley Loft in 1986 fresh from ATI and became a Director in 2002.  He has been specialising in small to medium sized businesses helping them in all aspects of accounting, taxation and business development.

Carl is also the Treasurer of the Newmarket Business Association and has held that position since 1998.  When in a relaxed mode, Carl likes to spend time in his sub-tropical garden enjoying a lovely New Zealand Chardonnay.

Joanne Hope
CA, Accountant

Joanne is a senior accountant with a varied chartered accounting background.  Joanne has worked for Marley Loft since 1999 utilising her skills for all types of accounting work.

Susan Cooney
CA, Accountant

Susan has been with Marley Loft since 2005, joining us for the second time around.  She further developed her accounting skills before returning to us.

Michelle Wratten
BBS, Accountant

Michelle has had 8 years accounting experience in CA firms.  She joined the team in 2009 and is now involved in all aspects of accounting work for our firm.

Natasha Dunayeva
Accountant

Natasha came to New Zealand from the Ukraine with her family and lived in Taupo where she began her accounting career.  Natasha has been with Marley Loft since 1999 developing her accounting skills and building up relationships with our clients.

Irene Leung
Accounting Technician

Irene, originally from Hong Kong, came to New Zealand with her husband and family.  She has been at Marley Loft since 2004 and her role includes accounting as well as GST work and she is the BankLink Administrator.

Anne Briden
PA, Adminstration
Anne, a long standing member of Marley Loft, is responsible for the secretarial and PA work for the Directors and team, and also attends to a variety of administration work.  She is also the frontline person as Director of First Impressions and voice on the phone.

Christine Warner
IT Administrator

Christine has managed our computer systems since 1998 to keep the office running smoothly, and is also in charge of all the company secretarial work for clients and attends to various administrative duties.  Christine also shares reception and phone duties.
